Quantification

Abstract After a brief discussion of the general aspects of quantitative chromatographic analysis the chapter focuses on the precise and accurate measurement of the quantitative detector response. Attention is given to the choice between peak eight or peak area, to the influence of the sampling frequency in data collection, and to the faithful recovery of the peak area in the presence of a sloping baseline or interference from overlapping neighboring peaks.
