Temperature and outlet pressure

Abstract The three parameters, temperature, pressure and modifier percentage are strongly interdependent. This behaviour can be explained by the state (density, compressibility) of the mobile phase: the higher the fluid density (high pressure, low temperature and high percentage of modifier), the more the fluid behaves like a liquid. This chapter shows some rules of thumb, experimental details and examples.
