Styrene/Divinylbenzene Copolymers

Abstract Styrene/divinylbenzene copolymers, polymethacrylate, and polyvinyl resins are the the most widely used of all organic compounds that were tested as useful substrate materials for polymer-based anion exchangers. Because they are stable in the pH range between 0 and 14, eluants with extreme pH values may be used. This chapter describes details of how these materials work, their applications and how they are prepared. It also gives an extensive overview of commercially available resins.
